With “one of the most diverse and all-around impressive lineups of the summer season,” (-Elektro Magazine) anticipation for this year’s festival has been building steadily since the announcement of 2015’s list of performers.
Now comes more big news – this Spring, for the first time in Shambhala Music Festival history, the production goes on the road with a series of special pre-parties across western Canada which we’re calling “A Journey HOME.”
Shambhala invites you to bring your beautiful self, your dancing shoes, and your good vibes as we unite on the dancefloor to celebrate your journey Home this summer. Each tour date will feature Shambhala 2015 headliners, supporting local artists, stunning custom visuals by veteran Shambhala videomapping technicians at Beama Visual Environments, festival ticket giveaways, official Shambhala merch available for purchase, and three of the four venues will be powered by PK Sound.
•••The tour begins on Thursday, June 4th at the Alexander Gastown in Vancouver with The Jillionaire and Space Jesus, alongside coastal Shambhala favourites S2, Lion-S and DJ Dubconscious. Tickets are $25 + s/c, available at Beat Street Records and online.
•••The next stop will be Sapphire in Kelowna on Friday, June 5th featuring Jillionaire, Pigeon Hole, and JGirl & Manousos of Footwerk Events. Tickets are $18 + s/c, available at Hemp City Kelowna and online.
•••“A Journey HOME” reaches Calgary on Sunday June 7th, as Crnkn, Smalltown DJs, and Eviction touch down at the Commonwealth Bar & Stage. Tickets are $18 + s/c, available at Grassroots Calgary and online.
•••And finally: a special, mysterious Nelson date; date and artists to be announced soon.
